| Craps is one of the most exciting social table games. Craps looks complex. Craps has its own extensive jargon like ‘boxcars’, ‘hard ways’ and ‘horn bet’. Craps is usually played on a large sunken table. The game is played with a pair of dice. Carps is one of the most popular games in the USA. Craps is a fast and exciting game with a lot of action. If you bet wisely, you can keep the house’s advantage to a very small percentage (about 0. 6% in the best cases). Players often begin with Craps in the casino because it is one of the easiest games. The main idea of the game is that you place a bet on what is referred to as the “passline bet”. You have to place your wager before the dice are rolled. You win if you roll 7 or 11. In addition to your original bet you can make one more bet. Odds bet means that the casino does not have its usual house advantage and it also hedges on true odds. At some casinos you can play for free before playing for real money. As a Guest Player you can watch the game of other players and then begin playing yourself for real money. It is very interesting to watch other people playing craps. Craps is one of the casino games that has the lowest house edge against you About Craps |
| A pair of dice is one of the main components of the game. Another important component is a table. The table for craps is different from that for other casino games. The table for craps is larger than a standard pool table. The dice are to be thrown against the wood railing. The surface of the table is green and it has a lot of different designs. The most important areas of the table are “Pass Line” and “Don’t Pass” areas The Table Layout |
| Craps is very easy to play. The current player rolls a seven and the game starts. After the current player rolls a seven a new player is given the dice. If the player makes a pass the pass line bets win and don’t pass lines lose. Don't pass line bets do not win if the "craps" number is a 12 in Las Vegas or a 2 in Reno and Tahoe.
If a 4,5,6,8,9,10 is rolled on the comeout that number is called a "place" number or a "point". With "making the point" "pass line" bets win and "don't pass" bets lose. If a 7 is rolled it is called "sevening out". If a 7 is rolled "pass line" bets lose and "don't pass" bets win. You can make bets on each subsequent roll of the dice until a 7 is rolled How To Play Craps |
| There are several bets in Craps. If you want to make a line bet, you place your money on the area of the table that says "Pass Line" or "Don't Pass". You place your bet on a ‘pass line bet’ area if you think that the shooter will roll 7 or 11 on the comeout roll or that the shooter will role one of the point numbers and will roll it again before rolling a 7 (sevening out). If the point number is rolled on the comeout the player is aloowed to take true odds against a 7 appearing before the point number is rolled again. The additional bet is called odds bet. The odds bet amount varies from casino to casino. Some casinos allow to make odds bets of two, three or even more times the amount of the line bet. To place an odd bet you have to place your money behind you pass line bet. Be aware that you will not find an area for the odds bets on the craps table. You have to take your chips off the table and if you want them to work further put them back on the table behind your line bet. The Pass Line Bet is one of the most common wagers in Craps. If 2,3 or 12 is rolled you lose. If the point number is rolled you are to continue rolling until you have the same number. If you roll the same number without rolling n7 you win. The Pass Line Bet pays 1 to 1 odds. At the casinos there is no special area for odds bets. The player should always remember that he has a right to make a odds bet. Be aware that you can make an odds bet only if the shooter rolls a point number. If the point number is 4 or 10 you get paid 2:1. If the point number is 5 or 9 you get paid 3:2. Traditionally the bet odds are equal to the line bets. A Come Bet is made when the shooter is going to repeat the point number. To make a come bet you have to click on the COME area of the craps table. If the shooter rolls a 7 or a 11 you win. If the shooter has craps you lose. If the point-number is rolled before a 7, you win. If the point number is 4 or 10 the payout is 2:1. If the point number is 5 or 9 the payoff is 3:2.
The Place Bet allows you to bet directly on a point-number without having to make a Pass Line or Come bet. Big 6 and Big 8 bets pay even money. Big 6 and Big 8 bets are turned off by default during a come out roll. The payout depends on the kind if the bet. Any Craps (2, 3 and 12) pays 7 to 1. Eleven (YO) and 3 pay 15 to 1. Hi-Lo (2 and 12) pays 30 to 1. Horn Bet (2, 3, 11 and 12) pays 7 to 1 (2 or 12) or 3 to 1 (3 or 11).
Hardway Bet is made by clicking on the corresponding area of the craps table. Hardway bets are turned off by default during a come out roll. To force a bet on, hold down the shift key and click directly on the bet. You win even money if 3,4,9,10 or 11 rolls. If you have 2 or 12 you are paid 2:1. If any other number is rolled you lose.
To make a field bet you have to click on the corresponding area on the Betting Layout. Buy bets pay correct odds but you 5% will be taken out by the house. A buy bet wins if the number rolls before a 7. To make a Buy Bet you have to click on one of the numbers of the table. To force the bet on, hold down the shift key and click directly on the bet. Lay Bets is based on selecting a number and placing a bet on it. Lay bet is turned off by default during a come out roll. To force the bet on, hold down the shift key and click directly on the bet. The Don't Pass Bet is the opposite of the Pass Line bet. Click on the corresponding area of the betting layout to make a Don't Pass bet. In the case of a push nobody wins and nobody loses.
Odds bet on the Don't Pass bet. If the point number is a 4 or a 10 the payout is 2:1. If you have a 6 or a 8 the payout is 6:5. You can make odds bets on the don’t come bets.
