| Craps looks complex. Craps has its own extensive jargon like ‘boxcars’, ‘hard ways’ and ‘horn bet’. Craps is usually played on a large sunken table. The dice are thrown by the ‘shooter’. | Craps is very easy to play. Before rolling the dice the new player has to make a bet. The player makes either a pass line bet or a don't pass bet. Only after placing a bet the player rolls the dice, which is called the "comeout roll". If the player rolls 7 or 11 he is said to have made a pass. If the player makes a pass the pass line bets win and don’t pass lines lose. If the player rolls 2,3,12 it is called “craps”. | LINE BETS. Line bets pay even money if they win. You place your bet on a ‘pass line bet’ area if you think that the shooter will roll 7 or 11 on the comeout roll or that the shooter will role one of the point numbers and will roll it again before rolling a 7 (sevening out).
If you think that the shooter will roll 2 or 3 on the comeout roll or will roll a 7 after rolling a point number and before rolling this point number again you choose a ‘don’t pass line bet’ area. Odds on a Line Bet. If the point number is rolled on the comeout the player is aloowed to take true odds against a 7 appearing before the point number is rolled again. The additional bet is called odds bet. In some casinos the odds bet amount is the amount equal to the line bet amount or lower. Some casinos allow to make odds bets of two, three or even more times the amount of the line bet. The odds bet is paid at a rate equal to the odds of that point number being made before a 7 is rolled. To place an odd bet you have to place your money behind you pass line bet. Be aware that you will not find an area for the odds bets on the craps table. Every player is allowed to make, to withdraw or to reinstate an odds bet anytime after the comeuot and before sevening out. Don’t forget to take your money or chips off the table if you win. You have to take your chips off the table and if you want them to work further put them back on the table behind your line bet. To make a pass line bet click on the Pass Line area of the table. If you have chosen a pass line bet and a 7 or 11 is rolled you win. If you roll the same number without rolling n7 you win.
The Odds Bet isn’t as common as the pass line bet. At the casinos there is no special area for odds bets. If you make an odds bet you believe that the shooter will roll the second point number before rolling a 7. If the point number is 6 or 8 you will be paid 6:5. Traditionally the bet odds are equal to the line bets. A Come Bet is made when the shooter is going to repeat the point number. To make a come bet you have to click on the COME area of the craps table. If there is a point number the bet is moved from the come area to the point-box indicating the point-number that the shooter must roll for that bet to win. Odds bet on the Come bet. If the point number is 5 or 9 the payoff is 3:2. If the point number is 6 or 8 the payout is 6:5. Click on the PLACE area on the Craps table to make a place bet. Big 6 and Big 8 bets are like regular place bets. One Roll Bets are made by clicking on the corresponding area of the Betting Layout. There are seven One Roll bets. Any Seven pays 4 to 1. Hi-Lo (2 and 12) pays 30 to 1.
Hardway Bet is made by clicking on the corresponding area of the craps table. There are four kinds of Hardway Bet. To force a bet on, hold down the shift key and click directly on the bet.
Field Bet is a one-roll bet. You can make a field bet on any roll. If you have 2 or 12 you are paid 2:1. Buy bets pay correct odds but you 5% will be taken out by the house. A buy bet wins if the number rolls before a 7. Lay bet is turned off by default during a come out roll. To force the bet on, hold down the shift key and click directly on the bet. The Don't Pass Bet is the opposite of the Pass Line bet. Click on the corresponding area of the betting layout to make a Don't Pass bet. The Don't Pass bet pays 1 to 1 odds. You can make an Odds bet on the Don't Pass bet after the shooter establishes the point. To make an odds bet you have to click on your original Don't Pass bet. If the point number is a 4 or a 10 the payout is 2:1. if the point number is a 5 or a 9 the payout is 3:1. If you have a 6 or a 8 the payout is 6:5. The Don't Come Bet. The Don't Come bet is the opposite of the Come Bet. The Don't Come bet can only be made while the shooter is trying to repeat the point-number.
