If you bet wisely, you can keep the house’s advantage to a very small percentage (about 0. 6% in the best cases). Players often begin with Craps in the casino because it is one of the easiest games. The main idea of the game is that you place a bet on what is referred to as the “passline bet”. You win if you roll 7 or 11. You lose fo you roll 12, 3 or 2. Any number except 7,11,12,3,2 is a point number. If you roll a point number this number must be rolled again before the seven for you to win anything. At some casinos players can be taught the rules and the strategy of the game. If you make right bets you chances to win are very high About Craps |
| A pair of dice is one of the main components of the game. There is a wood railing that goes around the outside edge of the table. The railing is sponge-lined on the inside with random patterns so that the dice bounce randomly. The surface of the table is green and it has a lot of different designs. All the bets that you can make are indicated on the craps table. The bets vary from table to table. The most important areas of the table are “Pass Line” and “Don’t Pass” areas The Table Layout |
| Craps is very easy to play. After the current player rolls a seven a new player is given the dice. Before rolling the dice the new player has to make a bet. If the player rolls 2,3,12 it is called “craps”. Don't pass line bets do not win if the "craps" number is a 12 in Las Vegas or a 2 in Reno and Tahoe.
If a 4,5,6,8,9,10 is rolled on the comeout that number is called a "place" number or a "point". In the case of a ‘point’ number the shooter continues to roll until that "point" number is rolled again, which is called "making the point". With "making the point" "pass line" bets win and "don't pass" bets lose. In the case of a “point” number players can choose one of the bets. You can make bets on each subsequent roll of the dice until a 7 is rolled How To Play Craps |
| There are several bets in Craps. If you want to make a line bet, you place your money on the area of the table that says "Pass Line" or "Don't Pass". You have to choose either ‘Pass line’ or ‘don’t pass line’ bet. Line bets pay even money if they win. You place your bet on a ‘pass line bet’ area if you think that the shooter will roll 7 or 11 on the comeout roll or that the shooter will role one of the point numbers and will roll it again before rolling a 7 (sevening out).
If you think that the shooter will roll 2 or 3 on the comeout roll or will roll a 7 after rolling a point number and before rolling this point number again you choose a ‘don’t pass line bet’ area. Odds on a Line Bet. If the point number is rolled on the comeout the player is aloowed to take true odds against a 7 appearing before the point number is rolled again. The additional bet is called odds bet. In some casinos the odds bet amount is the amount equal to the line bet amount or lower. The odds bet is paid at a rate equal to the odds of that point number being made before a 7 is rolled. Remember that all the players are allowed to make odds bets, though the house doesn’t want to encourage odds bets. The Pass Line Bet is one of the most common wagers in Craps. If you have chosen a pass line bet and a 7 or 11 is rolled you win. The Pass Line Bet pays 1 to 1 odds. At the casinos there is no special area for odds bets. If you make an odds bet you believe that the shooter will roll the second point number before rolling a 7. Be aware that you can make an odds bet only if the shooter rolls a point number. If the point number is 4 or 10 you get paid 2:1. If the point number is 5 or 9 you get paid 3:2. Traditionally the bet odds are equal to the line bets. Some casinos allow to make odds bets which are higher than line bets. If the shooter has craps you lose. If there is a point number the bet is moved from the come area to the point-box indicating the point-number that the shooter must roll for that bet to win. If you win in Come Bet the payout is 1:1. If the point number is 4 or 10 the payout is 2:1. If the point number is 5 or 9 the payoff is 3:2. The place bet is turned off by default during a comeout roll. Big 6 and Big 8 bets pay even money. To force the bet on, hold down the shift key and click directly on the bet. There are seven One Roll bets. The payout depends on the kind if the bet. Any Seven pays 4 to 1. Any Craps (2, 3 and 12) pays 7 to 1. Hi-Lo (2 and 12) pays 30 to 1.
Hardway Bet is made by clicking on the corresponding area of the craps table. There are four kinds of Hardway Bet. Hardway bets are turned off by default during a come out roll.
Field Bet is a one-roll bet. You can make a field bet on any roll. You win even money if 3,4,9,10 or 11 rolls. If you have 2 or 12 you are paid 2:1. The Buy Bet allows you to bet directly on a point-number without making a Pass Line or Come bet. Lay Bets is based on selecting a number and placing a bet on it. To force the bet on, hold down the shift key and click directly on the bet. The Don't Pass Bet is the opposite of the Pass Line bet. The Don't Pass Bet wins on the comeout if the shooter rolls 2 or 3. The Don't Pass Bet loses if the shooter rolls a 7 or a 11. You can make an Odds bet on the Don't Pass bet after the shooter establishes the point. To make an odds bet you have to click on your original Don't Pass bet. If the point number is a 4 or a 10 the payout is 2:1. if the point number is a 5 or a 9 the payout is 3:1. If you have a 6 or a 8 the payout is 6:5. The Don't Come bet is the opposite of the Come Bet. The Don't Come bet can only be made while the shooter is trying to repeat the point-number. You can make odds bets on the don’t come bets. The E bet is the same as a bet on eleven. This is just another place to make those bets Betting On Craps |
